   1)Did the DAM course meet your expectations?
   A: I am extremely satisfied with the DAM course and it has given me a good insight of how things are shaping up for the future.The content is good and it really made me think on certain things which are important in the near future.

   2)Did you find that the topics covered were useful?
   A: Yes all the topics were new to me and it has been a good course for me in order to undertstand the challenges which the Digital age is facing.

   3)Were you satisfied with the way the course was taught and how material was made available to you?
   A: I am happy with the content of what was taught to us and also lot of material and references were given to us in order to clarify our doubts and it made me understand the topics in details.

   4)Would you recommend the course to others?
   How do you think that the course could be improved?
   A: I would definately recommend this course to the people who wish to be a part of the Multimedia technology and would vouch for the course in order to assure them the satisfaction of gaining knowledge.

   1. Did the DAM course meet your expectations?
   Yes: I had little knowlege of digital preservation, beyond burning files to a CD but I now have more of an understanding of the issues that preservation has.
   2. Did you find that the topics covered were useful?
   Most of the topics covered did apply, directly or indirectly, to what I have been doing and what I will need to be doing in the near future.
   3. Were you satisfied with the way the course was taught and how material was made available to you?
   At first not. I was not a blog user before the class started and I was not all that clear about what the content of the blog should be. I did get the hang of it later and enjoyed the process.
   4. Would you recommend the course to others?
   5. How do you think that the course could be improved?

   1.Did the DAM course meet your expectations?
   Yes, the class was well prepared, and lecture was backed with full of reading materials and research.
   2.Did you find that the topics covered were useful?
   It was hard to follow the course and meet its requirement, but they are all useful stuff to know and it’s going to be useful later on as well.
   3.Were you satisfied with the way the course was taught and how material was made available to you?
   Everything was available on the blog, assignment, excercise, reading materials etc. They were all easy to access and read.
   4.Would you recommend the course to others?
   Yes, it’s more than worth to know all this kind of information.
   5.How do you think that the course could be improved?
   Little more of hard copies of reading materials, I had some problem reading from the monitor so I ended up printing most of it myself.

   1. Did the DAM course meet your expectations?
   From the beginning, I didn’t exactly know what this course is about. As it moved on, I gained quite a lot knowledge about DAM.

   2. Did you find that the topics covered were useful?
   Before attending this class, I didn’t have any structured preservation of my digital files. I saved and organised the files in my way, no matter how messy it was. As the class went, I got a much better understanding of digital preservation and finally realised it is a huge erea yet to be discovered.

   3. Were you satisfied with the way the course was taught and how material was made available to you?
   Yes, I’m satisfied with this course. On the blog, each week’s lecture and exercise are presented in details, as well as some further readings available. And Simon is extremely welling to answer questions from students.

   4. Would you recommend the course to others?
   For people who are doing multimedia, I think this subject is a ‘must’ taken one. Also, this course is useful for anyone who is dealing with digital files.

   5. How do you think that the course could be improved?
   A simpler introduction of DAM for students at the beginning.

   1 Did the DAM course meet your expectations?
   Yes and no. I now know far more about DAM than I did before but I had thought that by the end of the course I would be at an end point, of my understanding how to manage my digital assets. I can know see that there is much more to it than I could have imagined before I started.
   2 Did you find that the topics covered were useful?
   Yes, for the most part but at first, I did have some trouble relating them back to how they would apply to my digital assets.
   3 Were you satisfied with the way the course was taught and how material was made available to you?
   At first, I didn’t understand the point of the blogging and didn’t keep up with it but by week four or five I got the point of it. I thought that posting of the course material, on the DAM site, worked well, as it enabled me retain the material, for later use, in a usable form.
   4 Would you recommend the course to others?
   Yes
   5 How do you think that the course could be improved?
   I think the course would be improved if it could be related back to the individual students work, image, text and sound files. Perhaps using the same set of digital files, like a website, could be used and reused throughout the course and have the different preservation strategies applied to them and then new expressions of the works could be generated from them. Most students work independently and don’t often handle files that they have not created.

   1. Did the DAM course meet your expectations?
   My expectation of DAM before studied is how I can manage my digital asset properly. After I learned all periods of DAM course, I have received correctly the idea of preservation the digital asset such as the system of the Victorian Archives Centre – VAC meanwhile I learned a multitude of new vocabulary about the subject such as repository, XML, PHP, FRBR to name but a few. Some words I have a few understanding while some I have never heard before. At least, I have the knowledge about the system of researching system in metadata system of library or repositories.
   2. Did you find that the topics covered were useful?
   The topics make me confused in the first time because this is my new knowledge, so I need to spend much time to learn each topic; however, I strongly believe that this is useful and it will be a part of my digital asset management in my own practice in the future such as effective management data on the Internet and my websites.
   3. Were you satisfied with the way the course was taught and how material was made available to you?
   Yes, sure. I were satisfied with the way Professor Simon taught me, but in the a couple first weeks I did not understand anymore because I have never known and learned materials such as web blogs or IT techniques before. In the middle period of learning DAM, I had many opportunities to ask the professor to clarify my confusion about many topics. I then had more understanding but not everything because the details of each content is complicated as Professor Simon said that we did not need to go in detail of the topics, he just want his students familiar with the new words about Digital Asset Management.
   4. Would you recommend the course to others?
   Yes, absolutely. This course gave the knowledge about system of preservation digital asset. This could be useful for people who want to know how they can keep properly their own files, particularly digital files. They also can learn the system of repositories, and libraries how they can preserve a huge number of original materials and digitals files. This involves with the innovation of that time as well. For example, the conversion from original materials to digital files with the form of PDF is useful for preservation for long term or images to .tiff files which I use this way to preserve my pictures in my hard disks as well.
   5. How do you think that the course could be improved?
   It my feeling that I would like Professor Simon develops this subject by focusing on obviously examples of each topic because sometimes I can understand the theory of a topic but I do not understand clearly how I can do with the knowledge. In other words, I am a person who does not know much about database or IT system. It is quite hard to understand clearly it by talking or speech. I think that showing obvious examples are vital. This might be with only me; however if I can recommend to you, I would like to recommend like this. It does not mean you do not have any obvious examples, whereas I mean if you can find easy examples to show how it looks like, I believe that it would be better for new learners. Good hope. Overall of the course, I am so happy to study new things especially preservation system which I can develop with my own practise and works.

   1.Did the DAM course meet your expectations?
   The DAM course did meet my expectations. It provided a comprehensive overview of pertinent issues and demonstrated via practical examples how the handling of these issues can affect the accessibility, distribution and storage of digital material.

   2.Did you find that the topics covered were useful?
   The topics covered were useful as each week built on the ideas raised the week before - which meant that a broad picture of the field emerged. As I do not have a background in information technology, the concepts and terminology of the field were sometimes difficult for me to follow so I did not develop a strong grasp of some aspects, however my general comprehension of the field has improved.

   3.Were you satisfied with the way the course was taught and how material was made available to you?

   The structure of the course and the online resources are fantastic - the quality far exceeds the three other subjects that I have completed this semester. The interrelationship between the online resources and the lectures was very good and I will continue to refer to the DAM blog - if it exists - once I have graduated.

   4.Would you recommend the course to others?

   The course is a vital for any creative practitioner building up an archive of digital resources. I would strongly recommend that a version of this course becomes one of the mandatory core subjects for the MCM stream.

   5.How do you think that the course could be improved?

   Using the lecture time to revise the previous week’s exercise or reading and to commence/complete the practical exercise might improve comprehension and participation. I found most of the exercises and reading quite challenging and time consuming and found that I sometimes did not really grasp an idea until we had been over it several times.

   yes also the class give me a very good undersdtanding of digital material and how to manage. also bringing the opportuniti to understand how work the metadata resourses.
